Collage: A Fine Art Medium

Liz Bogard and Peggy Shepherd, a mixed media artist and a photographer, started collaging together in 2019 and proudly present this exhibition of collage. Collage is the art of pasting paper on paper, canvas or other substrates. Collage artists tear and paste on paper like painters use brushes and paint on canvas. Collage as we know it began when P. Picasso and G. Bracque added paper to their Cubist art in 1912. Over time collage was adopted by Surrealists, Dadaists, Pop and Abstract artists in the mainstream of the art world,  and it has become an accepted fine art medium.
