Terry Browder
Terry Browder, raised on a Southwestern Oklahoma wheat farm, discovered his passion for painting in his teens. After moving to Abilene, Texas, for university, he now calls it home. Browder's art draws from his great grandmother's 1898 journey to Old Greer County, capturing the clash between Native Americans and settlers. His paintings incorporate 120-year-old Texas deed documents, showcasing the Comanche Nation's history.
Influenced by his faith heritage and the Texan colonial ambiance, Browder explores ecclesiastical themes. His "Neoteric Icons" blend antique Latin Bible pages with modern, abstract styling. Browder's artworks transcend aesthetics, becoming visual narratives rich in symbolism and historical relics.
