Braeden Kuppin

Braeden Kuppin is a multimedia artist currently working primarily in mixed media sculpture, resin, and fiber arts, including soft sculpture. They hold two degrees from Hardin-Simmons University: a BFA in Painting and Drawing with a minor in Printmaking, and a BA in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice.

Born and raised in Taylor County, Texas, Braeden has also lived in Louisiana and the East Midlands of England. Art has always played a central role in their life. Both of their parents are sculptors and ceramicists who nurtured Braeden’s creativity from an early age. Schoolwork often featured sketches and drawings in the margins, a pattern that hinted at their artistic drive from the start.

Their formal art education began to take shape after transferring to Premier Academy and then Eagle Charter, where they benefitted from an expanded art program under the guidance of Larry Millar and began building a professional portfolio. A series of personal challenges after graduating from college led them to return to their art practice as a form of healing.
