World's Largest Velvet Painting Exhibit

World's Largest Black Velvet Painting Exhibit by Center's Artist Members was open July 8-August 28, 2014. Also on display for the first time in 25 years, see the world’s largest black velvet painting, “Mayonnaise Olympia,” created by members of the Artists League of Texas in 1988 to raise funds to initiate the Center for Contemporary Arts as an Abilene non-profit institution to support local artists and encourage the appreciation of contemporary art in Abilene.
