ArtHeals Camp

All campers will be selected by International Rescue Committee and will benefit from sensory based activities that will reconnect “thinking” and “feeling” through art making. These therapeutic experiences are designed for young people who have experienced trauma and to adjust into a new environment.

About The Event

Summer ArtCamps at the Center for Contemporary Arts are a multi-faceted endeavors designed to achieve wholesome educational recreation for youth and adults, instill a sense of community service, build self-esteem by providing youth and adults opportunities to create legacies to contribute to the community and create opportunities for inter-generation interaction.

One free registration is available to our members at the Family Membership level or higher. Scholarships are available for students with financial hardships. Email or call Bird Thomas at 325-677-8389 for scholarship information.

Summer ArtCamps at the Center have been designed to teach the basics of design as well as to stimulate creativity, all while having fun. Camp participants have a chance to show off their art created during the camp, at a reception with families and friends at the end of the camp.
