April Events at the Center

Join us for an exclusive opportunity to learn from acclaimed artist, Tom Motley about the importance of composition.

This in-depth workshop consists of two 4-hour classes where Tom will discuss format, visual dominance, line, and compositional devices.

Artists will then have a two-week window to create a piece to bring back to discuss with Tom and their peers at the second session.

*Lunch, snacks, and refreshments will be provided by the Center.

Join us at the Center for Contemporary Arts as artists Patty Rae Wellborn and Liz Bogard teach us their process of using cold wax and oil paint to create refined yet colorful abstract artworks, inspired by their new collaborative exhibit, “Encaustic & Cold Wax: An Ancient to Contemporary Use of Wax in Art”.

All materials will be included for this workshop. Pieces will take 24 hours to dry, so participants have the option to leave finished works at the Center and may pick them up the following day.

When: Friday, April 22nd from 6-8pm.
Tickets: $30 for General Admission; $25 for CCA Members.
