| This collection of large-scale acrylic paintings tells stories of historical events, current events, personal experience and cultural tidbits. Luther's artistic style engages viewers and inspires them to find the message conveyed through his narrative-like painting. An opening reception will be held May 16th at 6:30 p.m. and the exhibit will close June 28th. |

Arts Program Annual Exhibit |
| The National Arts Program in Abilene displays the talent of residents of the city of Abilene. The National Arts Program exists to provide a venue of expression for city employees and their families. The exhibit is open for entries from any resident, employee, or relative of Abilene citizens and is judged by an art professional for awards. The goal of this program is to allow people who don't usually have the time or venue to participate in arts events an opportunity for exposure to the art community. There will be a reception and an awards presentation at 6:30 PM on May 8th during ArtWalk. |

| Welcome to the Center for Contemporary Arts! An alternative space with four galleries that offers visitors more than 26 annual exhibitions of artwork by contemporary artists working in a variety of media. The Center offers an Artist Membership, extensive outreach programs, and coordinates Abilene's "second Thursday" monthly ArtWalk. ___________________________________
